OUR INSPIRATION
Everything started in the heart of the olive groves and endemic plant gardens in Kocadere, owned by our founder Oya Kalender's family. Oya, the 4th generation granddaughter of a family that has been producing olives and olive oil on their land of 5,000 trees since 1879, chose to spend the difficult pandemic process that the whole world is going through, in the lap of nature by going from Istanbul to the farmhouse in Kocadere.
During that period, she observed that not only she but everyone, especially those living in the city, were deeply affected both physically and spiritually.
While it was not even possible to go out, it became impossible for people to meet their most basic needs, including self-care, and to spare time for themselves (exercise, socialize, go to beauty salons). Compared to millions of people confined to their homes, Oya felt lucky to have a freer period in her own land and in the heart of nature.
